Originated from
Azores in early 1860’s; sent to Thomas Rivers, a nurseryman at
Sawbridgeworth, England, it was first named Excelsior. He sent it
to Long Island, USA in 1870, where it was in turn sent to Florida
and California. |

The premier
orange for juicing. Also cut into points, wheels or smiles. Eat as
a snack or use in salads, as a garnish or as an ingredient in a
main or side dish. |
